Hello everybody watching this on VHL Network! This is Dominic Drawes, you might know me as Austin Towbaker's agent. Today we have asked many people in the Greater Toronto area, would Towbaker get traded? And surprisingly, a lot of people said yes! So we have asked them also who he would be traded for on what team. And here is what the crowd said!

"Towbaker? Great player. Was hoping he would be drafted by Toronto so we could have a kick-butt player. But sure, let him play in his hometown. Fucking stupid. We would love him to play for the Legion. Fuck Chicago. Just holy cow."

-Guy we found off the street

"HE NEEDS TO PLAY FOR TORONTO RIGHT NOW!"

    -Bob

So yeah, there was a lot of non-advertiser friendly words that the Legion fans had to say. But there was a Calgary fan that we spotted and he never actually dropped a swear.
He just said that Towbaker should play for Calgary. That's it.
Many fans in the greater Toronto area. Probably the VHL capital of the world! We found Malmo, Calgary, Davos, London, every team! And most people wanted Towbaker on their team, along with The Red Menace as their starter. So these trades are what the fans want.

    MALMO TRADE:

    MALMO:
    A. Towbaker

    CHICAGO:
    S84 MAL 2ND

The Malmo fans know how to think. They think the most realistic of the entire VHL. You might think I'm biased, but all of the Malmo fans said the exact same thing. All 1000.
"Personally, the Malmo fans are the most coolest fans that I've met. I've also talked to Christopher James at the draft hall. You know, just about life and stuff. He wouldn't draft me, I just wanted to meet him. He's also a chill guy for a GM."

    MOSCOW TRADE:

    MOSCOW:
    A. Towbaker

    CHICAGO:
    S84 MOS 2ND

Just the same with Malmo fans, they have actual brains up in there. Actual reasoning for the win!
"I never got to meet Euron, I had to rush right out of there as soon as the draft ended. I had a party to go to, no beer, just a party. I hope I do get to meet Euron soon!"

    -Austin Towbaker

The trade rumors were in the Greater Toronto area. So it would be obvious that we would have at least one in Toronto.

    TORONTO:
    A. Towbaker

    CHICAGO:
    S84 TOR 1ST

This trade is overshooting the likes of Towbaker. He is not worth a 1st. Definitely not.
"I'm honestly scared of Toronto a little bit. I've traveled there once and there we so many people recognizing me. My face and my jersey were probably the common ways they would find the information of finding me. There were so many different feelings about me. Some people insulted me for my give-away against Minny which lead to a goal. That happened last year! And hearing these people saying that they want me on their team, it scares me! Toronto doesn't have a goalie yet so that would be bad. They should call up Oskar, eh? *Laughter* Free pads just to sweeten the deal, huh? *Instense Laughter*"

Towbaker... he isn't really fond of Toronto. This kid isn't even a player in the VHL. Toronto fans are calling him bad, calling him good, calling him the most overrated player in the entire VHLM! So to you guys, respect players, ok? Or he might make jokes about your goalie problem. So... your choice.

    "Shit happens."

     Right?

You're expected to get over whatever happened to you and keep moving forward. At least, according to the media. And the fans. And the management. Sometimes the only people you think care are the people in your inner circle. Family, friends, and a few teammates. Nobody else seems to give a fuck.

In the late stages of Season 74, I got ran. It didn't seem too big of a deal at the time. Except that I don't remember it. Yep, got concussed from it. Helmet flew off and cracked my head. Watching the tape back a couple of times, it's really my fault. Came out of my crease a little too far. "Fuck around and find out", one might say. But that's only just the beginning. I woke up in a hospital bed, asking if I could go back in. Didn't realize I was miles from the arena, and 12 hours after the game ended. Fuck, did those lights hurt my eyes. Turns out a sensitivity to light was one of the things I was going to deal with for a while. I had to get them to shut the blinds and turn the lights off to even see well. Turns out concussions are a bitch, who could have guessed it?

I was allowed to practice with the guys once my eyes went back to normal. I still had headaches. And the worst part of it all.

The voices in the back of my head came out in full force.

I couldn't make a save without the self-doubt creeping in. God forbid I let a goal in, it felt like my own head was screaming at me. Eventually I found a way to stop those voices. I started drinking. Am I proud of it? No. But I have to own up to it. One down the hatch before a game, I did well.  The voices shut up, and I could play well. But after the game, I kept going. I missed practices from being hungover. Maybe that shit could fly in the M, but not when I moved to the big leagues. After an abysmal rookie campaign, I went into the Player Assistance Program. I asked for it not to be publicized, for privacy and such. I came out sober. But I also came out with the voices again. Eventually, it got to where I had to step away.

After playing parts of S75 and S76 for LA, I sat down with our GM. I explained that I needed to step away. He understood, and wished me good luck. I got therapy. I went home, stayed with family. Got my head together. And then I made the hardest choice of my life. To retire from playing hockey. That may seem like the end of a journey, but to me it was just the beginning. I knew I couldn't stay away from the game for long.

So I opened a youth hockey school, back home in Memphis. Not particularly many hockey rinks or leagues around here. So I became the solution to that problem. I've loved showing these kids how amazing the game of hockey can be. I've also stressed that there are some parts that can be bad. Obviously not to the younger kids. But to the teenagers, I do warn them that not everything is sunshine and rainbows. That there is a dark side to the game.  I've been preaching the idea of playing in a way that makes you not put yourself at risk too much.  But I think that I'm putting them on the right path.

People have asked me if I would ever return to pro hockey in a different role. Coach or gm, something along those lines. I don't know if I ever will. I still love the game, so I might. Never say never. But for now, I'm contempt with teaching the next generation of kids. They need to have people who know what they're talking about guide them. There was one rink in Memphis when I was growing up. That's for both hockey and skating in general. Since I came back, I now run at least four. I try to provide cheap options for gear by buying second-hand and letting the kids use it for free.

The voice are still there. The good thing is that I don't listen to them anymore. Don't let your demons control you.

Thank you for reading. -Drew Minott

So, hi. I'm Domino. I want thoughts from you guys. I want the big brain thoughts for this one.
I've been wondering if there was a new league, what teams would it have? Who will shine?
I feel like the league should be located in like... uh... Japan? No, it should be multiple countries. Asia? Holy macaroni, that's an ass bunch of teams and cities. Actually, why not. Asian leag- What? Will3 already did this? And he's actually pretty successful in it? Ah. Okay sure. You know what? I'm going to let you smart guys decide! Where the league should be,  what the teams are, but this is the league topic. We will decide with the poll up there. Or you can reply, it's your decision. Just gonna pop out with this article, see you later (in your nightmares) and have a good one. Bye. Also are you a stupid-head? That's what I thought.

This is Dad and I am so glad to hear that you are doing well! I know moving to a new country was going to be daunting but you seen to be handling it well. The woman I am now dating is Elizabeth, you know the woman who used to work at the grocery store? She has quit that job since and now works at a small tech business as a secretary. She actually makes we good money, but don't worry son I am not dating her just for her money. She and I hit it off at the local bar when we had a couple of drinks.

You are probably right when you mentioned that your mother would have wanted me to start dating again. She was a really sweet woman and she would understand why I need to do this. Apparently Elizabeth divorced her husband because he ran away with a new wife, can you believe that? I actually got a dinner date with her coming up tonight at the Japanese restaurant near home. You know the one, where we had your 14th birthday and you kissed your now ex-girlfriend in the back of the restaurant?

Too bad she was a cheater huh son? Anyways I gotta get ready for my date tonight so see you later!

    1. I don’t like the word if in life. In my opinion losing by one to Ottawa just mean we can compete with them and they will need more work to beat us next time, because this team is better every day.

    2. I love Minnesota the state of hockey the fans are incredible and I love the city.

    3. Being a rookie who enter in the season I think I’m doing well. I can upgrade little things in my game to help the team more, but in general I am pretty please with my game so far.

    4. The red wings they are still young but I don’t see them made the playoff this year. Larkin is one of my favorite player in the league and they have a nice prospect pool but maybe not this year.

    5. I hope so for him he doesn’t want to play with buffalo. Buffalo is treating him like shit. I honestly don’t know where.

    S81 PRG 4TH

    Prague Phantoms Acquire:

    Venus Thightrap

Ok wow that is a trade.

I've always thought of Venus Thightrap as one of the best players in the VHL. TPE is high, racks up decent points, it's a pretty good career!
That's all I have to say, just move on. I have nothing interesting to say.

    2. SEA/DAV

    Seattle Bears Acquire:

    S82 DAV 1st

    HC Davos Acquire:

    Isabella Campbell

Now, Campbell is a player of which I can actually explain!
    Banacock is a GM, right?
GM can get TPE, they earn TPE a lot.
So, if you put two and two together, you can figure out that Campbell has a lot of TPE!
So a 1st is just the right pick for a player like Campbell, anybody could agree on that.
99 points in one season, Gretzky's number is 99-
Oh I think we got a conspiracy theory on our fast-typing hands here.

    3. SEA/CHI

    Seattle Bears Acquire:

    S81 CHI 1st

    Chicago Phoenix Acquire:

    Kasper Kankkunen

hehe 1st round picks go brrrrr-

So, just like with Campbell, Kankkunen (I typed that 1st try FYI) is a high TPE player getting lots of points! But unlike Campbell, Kankkunen didn't get 99 points in a season, so that makes them a failure.
(Editors note Dom here, if you didn't pick up on the joke here, uh... 99 points is a lot in a season and it is really, really hard to do. Especially in the VHL. So 89 points is real good for Kankkunen. Just trust me on that one.)

The Domino Archives reacted to NickSunderbruch in Ottawa Storms into the season 16-1
If you've been following the VHLM you would know that Ottawa holds a firm grip on the Eastern Conference, and currently holds first place in the entire league. The Lynx are currently looking at a potential historical season if this pace is kept up. And while it's likely they slow down a bit as the season continues and players on other teams cap out, I think this team has a damn good chance to make history. Lets take a look at this teams roster and start looking at what makes this group run the way it does.

So starting off on Offense, we have Center Finn Davis @M1nT 174 TPE with 11 goals and 31 assists for a total of 42 points in merely 17 games. Davis is absolutely on fire right now and shows no signs of slowing down, Davis is currently on pace to eclipse 172 points this season if this continues how it is. Next up we have Austin Towbaker @Domino 170 TPE with 24 goals and 23 assists for a total of 47 points. Towbaker is an absolute STUD, I mean who doesn't like a player who's on pace to score nearly 200 points? This man is a damn powerhouse, on pace for 101 goals this season, which would be absolutely incredible, it's also good to note that Austin had a +/- of -40 last season and has turned that round to a +26 in 17 games this season, which is absolutely NUTTY. I'll take a look at one more forward and then I'll move on to the defensive core of this team. We have Left Winger Gunnarwolfe Vomacka @Wolfe 155 TPE with 18 goals and 13 assists for a total of 31 points in 17 games, also on pace for 131 points this season Gunnarwolfe is someone I played with in Philly last season and can say has improved drastically, the mans always fun to play with and never gives up. So it's easy to see why this teams offense is popping off so hard with big names like these, but what about the defense?

The first person to look at Ottawa's success on defense is Juice Box @Siddhus202 TPE, 190 TPA with 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points and a +22. Juice is on pace to score 186 points this season if he is to continue this way. An absolute beast coming in at 6'8 and 250 lbs this defenseman will knock you off the puck so hard that you fly into the third row. Next up we have Arno Blugers @bukss_a 163 TPE with 3 goals and 20 assists for 23 points and a +7. The mans solid as hell, he blocks shots, plays the power play really well and just overall has one of the best playstyles in the league right now and it shows. And finally for our defense we're going to take a look at the superstar goalie; The Red Menace. Menace is 190 TPE, 16-1-0, .905 SV% and a 2.59 GAA, with two shutouts this season. Menace has been living up to his reputation in Russia as he plays in North America for his second season. Last season Menace had some amazing stats as well posting 7-3-1 in 12 games as a backup for Philly! The Red Menace shows no signs of slowing down, you can't run from him, you can't avoid him, and you can't beat him. The Red Menace is inevitable. (Thanos Snap)

    Chapter 2 – A Murder in Calgary

His heartbeat went so incredibly fast. It was like a train barreling down the tracks with a rhythmic “chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga.” It felt like his heart was going to pound right out of his chest. “What could this mean?” he thought. “What am I going to do with this?” he said out loud. Knowing he was alone in the new locker room he lifted the knife out of the box and examined it closely.

The bright lights of the locker room glinted sharply off the blood that coated half of the knife. The blood was stagnant, not moving at all. It was as if it had been painted on, but Phil could smell the iron that assured him that this was indeed blood. As he went to put the knife down into the box he remembered seeing the criminals on Slightly True Crimes wiping down their finger prints, so he made sure to do that with his sock. While wiping his fingerprints off of the handle he noticed a little note in the box.

“Congratulations on being drafted to the Calgary Wranglers! Unfortunately for Ricer, that was the last mistake he would ever make. I hope this was worth his blood.”
“My God,” Phil thought. Did the blood on this knife really belong to his new General Manager, Kris Ricer? Why would anyone in the world want to take the life from Ricer? Why would the killer want Phil to know about it? Unless, Phil was supposed to solve the mystery.

Phil set the knife and the note back into the box, covered it again, and slid it into his locker. He set his bag of gear on top of it, threw on his newest team shirt, slid on his favorite running shoes, and decided to go exploring. He was going to see if there was any way he could find out what happened here, and what in the world was going on with his new boss Kris Ricer.

Fortunately for Phil, he arrived to the arena the day before he was supposed to. The rest of the team wasn’t scheduled to show up until the next day, so he had plenty of time to explore the arena with no one having an eye on him. The freedom was nice, but there was a leery feeling that came along with this freedom. If something were to happen to him no one would know. But, it was a risk that he had to take. He couldn’t chance anyone else getting pulled into this craziness.

Walking around the dimly lit arena, it quickly became apparent to Phil that this was a huge move in his life. Just looking at the size of the arena he knew there would be many more fans in attendance at games, which made him nervous and excited at the same time. Shaking those thoughts away he said out loud, “Come on Phil, you have a murder to solve here!” As he turned the corner into one of the bathrooms there stood a short old man. He had a dirty ball cap on, a pair of grey slacks with suspenders, dirty shoes, and trailing behind him was a mop bucket. It was the janitor. The older man looked up, “A murder you say? Who is it this time?” [pick up the story from here and make it “Chapter 3”].

So a 1st is just the right pick for a player like Campbell, anybody could agree on that.
99 points in one season, Gretzky's number is 99-
Oh I think we got a conspiracy theory on our fast-typing hands here.

hehe 1st round picks go brrrrr-

So, just like with Campbell, Kankkunen (I typed that 1st try FYI) is a high TPE player getting lots of points! But unlike Campbell, Kankkunen didn't get 99 points in a season, so that makes them a failure.
(Editors note Dom here, if you didn't pick up on the joke here, uh... 99 points is a lot in a season and it is really, really hard to do. Especially in the VHL. So 89 points is real good for Kankkunen. Just trust me on that one.)

    Hey Dad

This is Armani speaking. How are you? I am doing well personally. Sweden is a beautiful country and the people there can speak English relatively well. I love thier meatballs too and I found an amazing restaurant for them. Anyways I know that you are finally going to try dating again and I think that is great! I know that moving on from Mom's death has been extremely hard, but I think she would want you to at least try to move amd find someone nice to talk to now that I have moved out. You can't just talk about hockey with Mr.Simon next door forever!

Anyways, I hope to be in a position where we can have a video chat soon. It's even extremely busy lately with practice and games that I have not found the time. I haven't checked the standings in a while, but I think we are at least close to the top of the standings. When I eventually get called up I'll be looking forward to talking to you again. Be sure to save me some maple syrup for then! Now the coach is trying to get my attention for the next meeting so I have to bounce. I'll email you again soon!

     Love your son, Armani

The Domino Archives reacted to WildfireMicro in Armani's biggest fight
Armani Calamari is not much of a fighter. Indeed, he only really fights on the ice when he is forced to by an opponent. But in the end there are certain lines you do not cross in both life and hockey and one of them was definitely crossed during Armani's sophomore year in high school. He was a relatively well known player on his school team and was mostly known for playing rather clean, having only gotten a few penalty minutes all year.

This upcoming game however was against a big rival school across town who had a junior year player named Mark Johnson. Mark was known for being quite the bad boy and had gotten into plenty of fights over his high school career. He was also known for trying to provoke his opponents in any way they can by getting extremely personal in his insults. He would go deep into their history and it was a miracle that he had not gotten kicked off his team yet. However with Armani he would go way too far.

During the game, Mark would repeatedly check Armani trying to hurt him or provoke him into a fight. Armani would stick to his guns however and not fight at all. It was not until they got a bit tangled up in the corner that Mark would say the thing that finally set Armani off:

     "Your mother was a-"

I won't be writing what he said as it is extremely inappropriate. I will just provide context: Armani's mother was an extremely sweet woman who his father loved dearly. However she unfortunately passed away two years after Armani was born and it affected his father deeply. If that was not bad enough, they were right next to Armani's dad and Mark had said it loud enough for him to hear. Armani finally snapped and began laying down heavy blows onto Mark.
It would take a while for them to be broken up, and Armani was still roaring with rage. Both would get sent to the locker rooms where Armani cried to himself in both anger and despair. The team finally came back with the game being a draw and Armani was able to provide context onto what happened on the ice. The coach said that he would have a chat with the opposing coach and left. Armani's father was eventually allowed to talk to his devastated son when he got back to the car

"You know what he called mom huh?" Armani managed to say

"Yeah but you did what you had to do in the moment son." His father said as he put his hand on his shoulder "Just remember there will be times that you must fight to be a man. I was sorely tempted to get on the ice myself"

"I am glad you didn't." Armani says then sighs "I guess the world is full of goons"

"Indeed son but just try not to be one" A few days later they would get the surprising news that Mark was finally kicked off his team due to his unprofessional behavior. I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes in hockey and in life fighting is necessary as long as you are doing it for the right reasons.

We all know what happens to inactives right? They get kicked off the team because they weren't getting enough TPE. Yeah, those inactives.
The question we are asking right now is "Why they aren't getting TPE?". The real question should be "What happened to those people?"
A good example is Leafs. He was drafted just behind Andy Nexber, a guy who back then, wasn't known for his scoring, nononono. He was known for checking and fighting. he soon was one of the best goal scorers in Vegas at the time. He then decided to go to the ECHL with very good playing in Vegas. He would do pretty okay. But that isn't the point. The point is that a player right behind Nexber, was inactive for a very long time. By very long time, I mean this much. Almost an entire year. He just recently gained depreciation. That's how long ago this was. Back when I wanted to be traded. So now, the question is, what happened to Leafs? Could he have died? Could he have quit from the league and never told anybody? If you have information about this, please reply. But now, the investigation begins. Me and my friend @Ledge and Dairy will find out everything we can about this guy. His discord, his DMs, if you would like to join the call to find out what happened to Leafs, please reply. It would really help out. No matter what, we will find out what happened to this.
