Used to be cookie monster, because, who tf doesn't love cookies? But as I get older, I relate a lot more to Oscar the grouch.

 

3). Have you owned skates before?  What brand?

Many pairs. When I was a kid, I think I wore Eastons and I had a pair of Missions at one point, but I've had Grafs for the last 20+ years now (fuck me, I just realized my last pair of skates are like 15 years old now and Graf is no longer in existence)

 

4). What song are you not afraid to sing in the car at 11/10 effort?

I mean, I'm not afraid to sing any song at 11/10 effort, but if I'm choosing one unabashed single to belt? Gotta be A Thousand Miles, exactly the way Terry Crews sings it in White Chicks.

 

5). Do you remember your first shotgun of a beer?  How was it?

No, probably about as good as you'd expect.

I do not, but would definitely use it if someone also gave me an amp to hook it up to my system lol.

3. Alright so I don't know the jardy stats besides old but I know my stats. 5'11'' 185lbs. I'm not incredibly strong but I'm quick and have good speed. Let's assume this is a street fight and anything goes. These old people can't get down low anymore on account of there awful knees. So I go low and force him down taking probably a few back of the head and neck punches as I either push him into the wall or floor. Then once that position I continue to push his legs up until the fight is over. I'm not throwing punches because I know I don't know how to punch. My best bet is to cause maximum physical harm.

 

4. Hot take almond joys are criminally underrated.

 

5. Not a huge fan of white. I have one white shirt that I wear as undershirts but no other white shirts or clothes.

I wasn't expecting London to replace me with a goaltender, but good for the, really. Necessary upgrade if you ask me, and I honestly think they're better off with him than if I had extended. Legit proud of @Dil.

I just met the guy, but I did tell him he looked good last season. I mean I did score on him a couple times in the past, but I score on everyone, he's no worse.

I have not. I haven't caught a draft in a couple seasons actually, but I trust Esso, Eno and company did a stellar job like they usually do.

1). New season starts this week!  What personally are you looking most forward to with your player?

Scoring my 300th career goal. I only need 57 to get it done!

 

2). Do you think New York will do better or worse (record-wise) than Season 85?

Looking at how I would rate our roster particularly compared to the rest of North America, I think we have a good chance to improve upon last season's record. Granted, I though we would have done a bit better last season.

 

3). What team statistic do you think New York will do surprisingly well in?

Goals scored. Certainly if the expectation is that we are as poor as we were last season. I think the roster changes will be for the better as far as goal scoring is concerned.

 

4). Is there a trend your player has had in their career so far that you are hoping changes in Season 86?

The trend of Mourning's career is that my performance stayed relatively similar from my odd-numbered season to the following even-numbered season. So my first and second seasons were very similar; my third and fourth seasons were very similar; my fifth and sixth seasons were very similar. I absolutely hope that trend does not continue, because last season was my worst since S80 and I would hate to have a similar year in S86.

 

5). Who is New York's primary rival?

To be honest, it's hard to have a rival when you have been consistently bad for so long. I guess maybe Los Angeles, but only because they have been the next worst after New York in the time that they've been in the league. Plus we had the exact same record as them last season, but because they had the head-to-head advantage, they ended New York's five season "6th in NA" streak.

 

6). Should @thadthrasher grow a mustache?

No. Unless he wants to then sure. I don't care.

1. I'm very excited to making my VHL debut, had we had the old attribute system I reckon I would've won ROTY easily, and perhaps even MVP.

2. I'm not entirely sure, but you got Mann who is an assist focused player, and if you give him playing time with the top scorer on the team, then we'll do better.

3. Goals, Mann is assist focused as you've read, and quite elite in it already. With that in mind it's safe to say there'll be an improvement.
4. Not really, I have had a great career so far and I think I can't really improve in any stat.
5. I don't pay enough attention to the VHL teams, so maybe the team we're rivals with is our geographical rival of Toronto. 
6. Mustache's are sources to power, all great hockey players have one, unless they don't. In that case, they are no longer the best players in hockey history. Lanny McDonald is the best player in Hockey history now, and if Thad wants to take it he must grow a mustache.

Be better than last season. As a capped goalie, don't see any reason why this bum shouldn't put up better numbers than last season.

I think I went on a New Year's vacation one time in High School? Might've been a fever dream, tbh. That was kind of fun. Going to be in Mexico for my birthday/Cinco next year, so I'm pretty excited for that one.

1) A lot of big changes the past week!  What surprised you the most?

I...uh...hmmmmmm...I'll say that I'm most surprised gas went up $0.20/L over a 4 day span last week. That was pretty shocking, since it was holding at ~$1.30/L for a while.

 

2) Who is now likely the points leader on the roster in S87?

I'm going to go with Leduc, unless we can get someone to change their name to Pedro then I wouldn't bet against Napoleon exploding.

 

3) What music are you hoping New York incorporates for practices this year?

Give me some mother fucking ragtime when we hit the ice!

 

4) Favorite pre-game meal?

As a goalie, who will be getting maybe 15-20 games this season, gotta say my pre-game meals will include a lot of beer and chicken wings. Ain't nobody going to be knocking Aug out of games.

 

5) New York will have alternate jerseys this season; what's your pitch?

Gimme backwards trucker hat wearing Raybans selfie in a pick up truck guy as the most American mascot there is. Bonus points if you can stitch in a "Don't tread on me" phrase somewhere in there.

 

6) Did you follow any of the drafts live?  What were your thoughts on the presentation?

I did not, but I do follow Draft Kings, and did you know you can make live sports bets during the action, right up to the final whistle? Hockey, basketball, football, the opportunities are endless (and so are the fucking commercials)

1. Lunar New Year and LEMORSE IS HERE! Big draft too I feel, we did what we could and i hope we do well 

2. Alexandre Leduc, the new player we got from the trade. He's far ahead in TPE and is well developed too

6. I had the chance to draft in the M as I am the GM for Vegas. It was pretty small, weaker draft class than before. It was difficult honestly to get the desired results but we were going for a rebuild sorta draft and I am pretty happy.
