1) Were a growing team that is getting lots of assets for the future. We’re not the strongest team but give it time and then we will be a strong competitor.

 

2) There are 3 players from S66 that are an important part of the rebuilding process. Shane Mars, Valeri Morozov and Kari Jurri. Also I think I’m a big part of the rebuild as I am a young goaltender that can be counted on down the stretch. 

 

3) I think a centre would be wise, I have looked at the talent and think Boris the Forest would be a great pick! He is getting better everyday and putting up good numbers in the VHLM. Also how can you not love that name ???!!!

 

4) Vancouver, they added a lot of young depth and will be a tough team to beat.

 

5) Helsinki vs Malmo in the finals with Helsinki taking home the cup!

 

6) It’s hard to say as I’m not sure on the number of starts I’ll get. However I’ll try my best lol.

4. Can I just say Ottawa went from steaming garbage to one of the best teams (VHLM)

1. Seattle management has always been creative at adding new talent and this deal is typical for the GM. Very pleased with it.

2. Like I said, the GM works the phones hard and is always looking for an edge and the best players available.

3. I think Seattle could benefit from pretty much any player at this point. Maybe locking up the future 1C or 1D would be a good bet.

1. Thoughts on the Bears next season?

I think we may surprise some people around the league. We have a good roster with some young depth and a good goalie that will be only getting his feet wet. Anything is possible.

 

2. What team is going to place last in the VHL next season?

Davos. They really unloaded for some good future pieces, but I don’t think they will have a good season next year.

 

3. Who goes 1st OV?

Well now the draft is over, just looking back at who actually was selected First Overall, that was a huge surprise in my opinion. Hedge seems to know what he is doing so I won’t question him.

 

4. What logo is your least favourite? Why?

Davos. Love playinng for the team, just not a fan of the logo or colour scheme.

 

5. Predict who is going to be the VHL's MVP this season?

I predicted Julian Borwinn. Had a great season last year with 51 goals. Helsinki will be good again and so will he in my opinion.

 

6. Which goalie in the VHL is gonna reign #1 and collect some awards?

Alexander Pepper will have another great season. Another season or two like last year and he might be in the elite category and a HOF candidate moving forward.

We're the youngest, best built, most exciting team in the league. We may not win this cup this season, but we've got a lot of star power that can bring it and we'll all reach out peaks around the same time. This could be the trappings of a dynasty.

 

2. Who are some key players moving forward in Seattle's rebuild?

 

There are so. fucking. many.

 

Our top six right now is:

 Burn @Acydburn - Ylonen @Esso2264 - Mars @Spade18

Morozov @Dangles13 - Greene @DoktorFunk - Zoiderberg

 

That's an incredible crop of young, high-scoring forwards who are only going to get better over the next eight seasons. Knock on wood, but if that group sticks together, their names will be on the cup.

 

3. What are your thoughts on the next VHL draft? Who do you think the Bears should target?

 

@Banackock positioned himself incredibly well this draft in acquiring new talent. We're not in a win-now mentality, as long as we continue to draft and develop, we'll be in great shape.

 

4. What team is surprising you this off-season?

 

I can't believe the Wolves reached to pick up Michael Gary Scott @Motzaburger and not his linemates from the Mexico City Kings. There was so much talent on that line and although they picked out the best of it, they had the opportunity to get so much more.

 

5. Who wins the cup? Who is the losing team?

 

Helsinki's looking like the team to beat yet again, but they'll age out eventually. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bears near the bottom of the league for a couple of more seasons, but once our talent comes online we'll be firing on all cylinders.

 

6. Predict your statistics for the seasons end. Are you happy with those numbers?

 

If I end up going 30-30-60 I'll be a happy guy, but I'm going to push to do even better than that.

17. Gotta go with the home town on this one. Richmond is a great city that has always loved hockey, and Virginia is a state in need of a team. I would name them the Richmond Red Dragons.

Well my goal is to not be the worst goalie next season. Hopefully I can do well, maybe ROTY candidate.

I just want to keep developing into a bruising power forward who can crush opponents and chip in some offence.

Hulk Hogan, the dude saw me fight a car and then decided to get in on the action a few moments later.

4.) I think the bears aren't going to be great this season but next will be better.

The Bears of course! The use of burgandy, black, and gold isn't something I've seen in any league, but its so perfectly executed and blends extremely nicely. It's also very easy to find uniform pictures that blend with it well. I just wish we had more assets for the third logo:

The Montreal Nordiques has a nice ring to it. Maybe something like this:

I feel like Julian Borwinn @Jubo07 is going to be unmatched. Not only is he a prolific scorer, he has the team backing to succeed. That's almost more important than raw skill in today's game.

 

19. Which goalie in the VHL is gonna reign #1 and collect some awards?

 

Whoever the netminder is for Helsinki is going to have another runaway season. Who is that now, Alexander Pepper? @Sonnet Yeah, Pepper's gonna pot it.

 

20. Who are the leagues biggest goons?

 

Call me biased against our rival, but don't get me started on that Beau Louth @Beaviss guy. I'd like to put him over the boards and teach him how we do things in Sweden. I'm surprised an old man like him hasn't learned a little more respect after this many years in the league.

Julian Borwinn, One of the best players in the league on paper if not and is also likely the leagues leading scorer

Alexander Pepper, backed by a top 3 team, Pepper will be the best yet again

I would have to say since joining the league and watching the defenseman in the VHL, Joseph McWolf caught my eye. Guy is a rock on the blue-line for the past couple of seasons and has come away with some hardware for his impressive work

 

2. Which player would you consider your players rival?

 

I don’t think anyone knows I play in the VHL, even some guys on the Bear. So with that I don’t even have anyone that comes to mind. I’m really just trying to play my game but when I do compare myself to anyone it would likely be someone in my draft class to see how I stakc up post draft.

 

3. Do you feel like you have a rivalry with a  team, or a GM you hate losing to etc?

 

I mean playing in the North American Conference It’s almost a given that we have to hate the other four teams in the conference. I don’t want to lost to them and you really up your game when it’s a conference game.

 

4. What kind of equipment does your player use? (gloves, stick, pads etc)

 

I like to go basic with my equipment since I have found something I have liked and have stuck with it. I wear all Bauer equipment including gloves, helmet, and stick.

 

5. Does your player have any weird superstitions? 

 

I try to eat the same meal of eggplant Parmesan before each home game and steak and rice when on the road. Easy road meal to avoid any illness.

 

6. Does Beaviss Suck?

 

Beaviss sucks in Vancouver and sucked in Quebec, so yes

So far so good, its a beautiful day out on the West Coast, the sun is out, the sky is clear, and there's dollar drop-in skates all around the city.

 

22. Who is your favourite player in the VHL - not including yourself, hehe.

 

This will come as no surprise to anyone @Motzaburger

 

23. Which player would you consider your players rival?

 

Can your best friend also be your rival? Again, Michael Gary Scott. We steel ourselves against one another and train together on the weekends. He's the Garry Oak to my Ash Ketchum.

 

24. Do you feel like you have a rivalry with a  team, or a GM you hate losing to etc?

 

I want to say Vancouver, but honestly we're giving it to Helsinki so good this season that they've got to be mentioned. There's nothing more satisfying than beating the best team in the league over and over again.

 

25. What kind of equipment does your player use? (gloves, stick, pads etc)

I've got this sneaking suspicion that my people (the Swedes) will have something to do with anchovies going extinct in the near future. We can't help it. They're delicious.
