Virtually a prerequisite for any goaler looking to be immortalized into the VHL Hall of Fame, this is one of the ultimate prizes for goaltenders in the VHL. Jean Pierre Camus @solas had another quality season in Chicago, recording a 2.89 GAA and a .922 save percentage on his way to winning 43 games. Doug Dimmadome @Esso2264 shined for Los Angeles, allowing under three goals per game, stopping. 923 percent of the shots he faced, and earning the win in 33 games. Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123 is again in the Shaw discussions in his final year, earning the Greg Clegane Trophy with a 2.82 GAA, stopping .921 percent of the shots he faced, and winning 37 games for the London United. Lastly, Artem Tretiak @Molholt had a breakout year, saving .924 percent of the shots he faced, allowing 3.15 goals per game, and winning 30 games for the Malmo Nighthawks.

The Chicago Phoenix are nearing a crossroads. After building up through the draft from the start of the franchise, the team capitalized on their young, developing core by making more aggressive moves to supplement the team and capitalize on their window of competitiveness. It worked, as the team reached the pinnacle by winning the Continental Cup in Season 76. But after being on the wrong end of two playoff sweeps in the following seasons, it appears that the aforementioned window could be starting to close. 
The first sign of this was S76 free agent acquisition Kyl Oferson hanging up the skates. It was expected given he was at the eight-season mark, but could also be a challenge for Chicago as it was quite possibly the team’s first major retirement in its six-year history. It certainly won’t be the last, and that was truly hammered home with the recent announcement that forward Robin Winter, a trade deadline acquisition from Davos in S76, would be retiring and not playing his eighth season in S79. It makes things interesting for the Chicago front office now - the team now has only three forwards under contract going into next season (Mingle, Xin, and Marimoto). Meanwhile, the signs are still on the horizon that the end of an era is looming - the core players from the S73 and S74 draft classes are nearing retirement. What will the team do in this important offseason? How much time is really left for the Phoenix to compete? Only time will tell.

After Beaviss stepped down from his role as Commissioner, @Beketov and I made the decision to maintain our 2-person team, with the understanding that we would eventually add a third member, when the time was right. As some of you may have noticed, the past two weeks have seen a wane in activity from myself, as I've had an opportunity to grow in my career, which resulted in less time in the interim for the league.
 
With that in mind, Bek and I believe now is the right time to add a third member to the team. So, without further adieu, please welcome your newest Commissioner, @bigAL ! We feel he has shown more than capable of being a steady hand at the wheel, and what he may lack in longevity he more than makes up for in integrity, composure, and exuberance. Al is a fantastic representative for what this league is and can be, and we cannot put into words how happy we are to bring him aboard!

That’s why, starting season 79, the GM of the defending champion Warsaw Predators will be none other than the captain who led them there, @dlamb. Congrats lamb, you have some hefty shoes to now fill!

I've been having crap going on all day and had a lot of time to reflect on... a lot. I reflected a lot on many things, my past, my present, my future, if I would even have a future. It was kinda deep, but one thing a really epic doctor told me today is to take life seriously. 
 
I know, a weird opening, a little backstory for y'all. I've been dealing with GERD for the majority of my life, it's a horrendous disease that makes a lot intolerable. I can't eat my favorite food, I can't drink my favorite drinks, I can't even take long car rides or be out super long because it affects my ability to use the restroom and so... I fear even having to be out for a long period of time or getting to enjoy myself. This GERD has pretty much taken over my life and so I began to take PPI's to subside the bullshit, hopefully put an end to it all, and it did, for a little while. I began to get to eat some foods, I began to get to drink some drinks, I could tolerate even going out little by little a bit longer. But then it all hit the fan. Pain began to take over my back, my chest, my lower abdomen, I was worse than I was prior. 
 
Long story short, the PPI's fucked me, and I didn't even know that it could hurt my liver and kidney, but alas... here I am, in some real rough shape. \
 
What this has taught me, being asked questions I never thought I'd be asked and contemplating if my future even exists, is that life is too short. If we've ever fought here, bickered, gotten into it... honestly, let's squash it. I would hate for something to happen to me down the road and it happen with a guilty conscious of all the things that could've been mended over some stupid bullshit in a fake league when I could much rather be happier making real connections with people here. 
 
Honestly though y'all, god bless ❤️ I'm gonna be around as long as fuckin' possible and I'm gonna make sure to let my liver and kidney know... we're gonna be okay. Like I said above, please reach out to me if we've ever beefed, if we've ever fucked around and things got heated, let's squash it. I'm not down for anymore bullshit, I'm too tired for it ❤️ 

I feel sorry for whoever has to be stuck with this team. Solid logo though but too bad it's for a meme team.

My TPE project for the week, the previous logo is already great. There's been a recent rendition too that keeps the same design with the Eagle head in a shield. But, I thought I would go in another direction to keep the hype alive, get my TPE this week, and stretch the team's identity to give it a "possible refresh".

As you are likely all aware by now with @Acydburn taking over the VHLE with Vic it has been decided that someone else will jump in as a member of the green team to replace him. Given that the founder’s cup final has finished (congrats Yukon!) it seems a great time to get things changed over in the VHLM leadership.
 
After an application process with many great candidates it has been decided that @McWolf will be taking over as the newest member of team green and will work alongside @diamond_ace  as the newest VHLM commish. The blue team wishes him all the best in his new endeavour and thanks Acyd for his service!
