The Scotty Campbell Trophy is given to the most valuable player from the regular season. It seeks to award the player that has elevated their game and their team’s performance to the next level, showcasing a rare amount of skill that is only found among the upper echelon of VHL players.

Quite a few amazing players appeared on the ballot. We had Jet Jaguar, a player that was one of the main reasons Davos made playoffs, Julius Freeman, a league-leading goalscorer who shined on New York Americans, Condor Adrienne, a defenceman that managed to accomplish a rare feat of 100 points in the regular season, Michael Johnson, a goaltender who helped Helsinki Titans make playoffs with flying colours and your winner of course. His play remarkable and made everyone remember him as a true competitor that never backs down. His amazing ability to be there in the net for his team when it matters the most is unparalleled and won’t be repeated easily.

So, this year’s Scotty Campbell Trophy winner is the truly outstanding goaltender of Moscow Menace - Raymond Bernard!

Congratulations @Mr_Hatter

The Daisuke Kanou Trophy is awarded to the most valuable player during the VHL playoffs. Similar to the Scotty Campbell Trophy, the Kanou focuses on those players who have what it takes to perform in the clutch moments of a playoff run, and who are instrumental to their team’s postseason successes.

3 brilliant players nominated a brilliant defenceman who proved he had a championship-worthy skill, Apollo Hackett, beast from Calgary, Sigard Gunnar and the player that has been proving himself for quite some time as a true member of the elite. Goaltender that lead his team to the finals and made sure they will take the prize home.

Congratulations to the S72 winner of the Daisuke Kanou Trophy, for his brilliancy in the net for our Continental Cup champions, Greg Eagles!

Congratulations  to @Greg_Di

Frederik Elmebeck Memorial Trophy is awarded to the most valued community member this past season. Even though it might mean many different things for each person who voted, it all comes down to being a great member of this community, an amazing person and a good friend. The same way as many valued our dear friend Fredrik Elmebeck, a true MVP of our community.

With many already known nominations from RJ to Sonnet, from Ricer to Renomitsu, we had a truly amazing season for community activity and involvement. People who do an amazing job in their respective Locker rooms and people who create the most amazing content VHL can ever produce.

With close results between 3 nominees, the award goes to a wonderful writer I have a pleasure to work with every day.

Frederik Elmebeck Memorial Trophy goes to  @Doomsday

Congratulations!

The Brett Slobodzian Trophy is awarded to the player deemed most outstanding as voted upon by the league’s players.

S72 Brett Slobodzian Trophy for the Most Outstanding player in VHL goes to Condor Adrienne of Malmo Nighthawks!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top overall defenceman in the VHL, the Sterling Labatte Trophy focuses on both the offensive and defensive properties of our players who call the blue line home.

With players like Tate, Hogan and Flowers on the ballot, you can’t really hope to get more excited for this prestigious award. That said, this season we are awarding a defenceman that was able to perform on the highest level and managed to be a truly dominant force for his Malmo Nighthawks.

Congratulations to our Sterling Labatte Trophy winner for S72, Condor Adrienne!

Congratulations @OrbitingDeath

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top offensive defenseman in the VHL, this trophy emphasizes those defensemen who can seem to stop scoring.

Whether it be by putting away the chances themselves, or by creating goals for others, Valiq Trophy winners pride themselves on their ability to put points on the board for their team.

You know you are in a really good group if you are nominated together with Tate and Sundqvist. That said, this defenceman was able to perform on another level. With goalscoring ability and 100 points, he proved he has the star power and the ability to be a player that his team can depend on.

Congratulations to the S72 Alexander Valiq Trophy winner, Malmo Nighthawks blue-liner, Condor Adrienne!

Congratulations @OrbitingDeath

Awarded to the player deemed the VHL’s top defensive defenceman, the Jake Wylde Trophy was created to showcase those defencemen who excel on the grittier side of the game.

Known for his heavy hits, this year’s winner consistently proved his dogged determination to not allow the opponents to score, putting his body on the line for his team.

No real competition in terms of votes as this landslide victory puts this player ahead of household names like Tate, Adrienne, Pavlov and Block.

With brilliant defensive game and wonderful showing of skill, we would like to congratulate our S72 Jake Wylde Trophy winner Lance Flowers of New York Americans!

Congratulations @CowboyinAmerica

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top goalie in the VHL, the Aidan Shaw Trophy recognizes our netminders and rewards them for their hard work.

And again, there was no real discussion who deserved this award. With his play, we saw a team that traded most of their star talent away and was destined for being a lottery team rise up again and be the competitor they were known for past few seasons.

The winner of S72 Aiden Shaw Trophy is the outstanding goaltender of Moscow Menace - Raymond Bernard!

Congratulations @Mr_Hatter!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the best two-way forward in the VHL, the Scott Boulet honours those forwards who excel in both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.

With a combination of physicality and technical ability, Boulet winners epitomize the classical hockey mould, providing entertaining play through heavy hits as well as creating goals.

This season there were no real discussions about who is the winner. Even after switching teams and playing in a new environment he has able to be the true dominant force he was destined to be. His goalscoring ability and defensive game made him stand out and receive a unanimous vote.

Without further ado, congratulations to this year’s Scott Boulet Trophy winner: Julius Freeman!

Congratulations @rjfryman

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top rookie in the VHL, the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy commemorates the crème de la crème of the up and coming VHL stars.

This award is always hard to give out, as it is so difficult for young players to adapt to the fast-paced, challenging nature of the VHL, and there are always so many great options to choose from.

Even though both Zyrok12 and Pengu were able to challenge the champion, this amazing centre player from Davos proved to be the real deal, another Top Rookie award to a player on their team.

Congratulations to this year’s Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winner, brilliant showing from such a promising young talent, SS Hornet!

Congratulations @McWolf!

Awarded to the general manager deemed to be the best in the VHL, the David Knight Trophy is for those general managers whose actions help their team and franchise succeed, leading them to greater things.

The best managers are those who can build a cohesive unit that plays with each other and for each other. It is often difficult to see that direct impact any given manager has, and it is for that reason that this is always such a hard decision.

With so many deserving managers, there will always be some left out from the awards, but we at VSN want to extend a warm thank you to all the executives that work to make this league tick.

S72 David Knight Trophy goes to a GM who was able to put his franchise on a winning path this season. Congratulations to Esso Drunkman!

 Congratulations @Esso2264!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the most improved in the VHL, the Dustin Funk was created to award those players who always put in the extra time in the practice rink.

So many players in this league work on their game day in and day out, but there is always a select group of players who have elevated their game to the next level.

Not really a close vote by any standard, but with players like Lafontaine, Adrienne, Dawson, Lahtinen and Jubis on the ballot you can’t really predict anything. That said, this player was instrumental in the amazing run Calgary had this season!.

For his outstanding play and ability to help his team succeed, the winner of S72 Dustin Funk Trophy is Mikko Lahtinen of Calgary Wranglers!

Congratulations @Beketov!

Well, that wraps up the individual awards!

Next up: All-rookie and All-VHL teams!
