    1) Online availability at least 8 hours a day (Please note in application your most active hours) and how often you are on forums/discord.
    All I do is sit on VHL Discord. Kidding. I mostly study/work while the discord is open on my second monitor.

    2) Be able to respond to discord pings and be verified via 2fa.
    I am verified via 2fa and I think I'm pretty good at responding to discord pings.

    3) Older than 20 years (anything below this will require exceptional reasoning)
    I'm closer to 30 then 20 so, I'm old as hell.

    4) Not hold other league jobs or associations (GMing) that may pose a conflict of interest (exceptions apply)
    Technically speaking, I am the AGM of DC. However, if I can remain impartial between Vancouver and DC during these playoffs (my player plays on Vancouver), I think I can do a decent job remaining impartial between all the teams. At the end of the day, my priority has always been user experience over team success and pride anyways.

    Additional things you may add for consideration:
    - Availability of hours between the times of 1am and 9am MST wanted.
    Welp I think we're both on MST so this might be a tough one.

    - Moderation experience and ability.
    I actually work in management currently and that requires a lot of moderation in general.

    - Human resource experience and/or sensitivity classes/training taken.
    I've had a lot of volunteering in HR related positions within my religious community.

    - Any additional reasons why you would be make an appropriate mod.
    Honestly, I like to remain impartial to who the person is as well as what has happened in the situation. I think that the VHL is an experience and I think moderation is a huge piece of the pie.

    - Ability to deal with context of situations.
    I definitely believe I'm good at this.

    PS. I hope that there isn't a decision anytime soon as I have put in a application for becoming the GM of the Wranglers.

    With the regular season coming to a close and the playoffs just around the corner, this week we are going to preview each VHLM playoff series and check out which key players could make an impact for their teams. The standings pretty much played out the way most expected them to. In the West, the Houston Bulls maintained their dominance over the entire league and finished with a very convincing 123 point season. This is their best showing in team history and will nab them their second ever Prime Minister's Cup. In a distant, but still very respectable second spot in the West, were the Mexico City Kings. Although they couldn't catch the Bulls, Mexico managed to eclipse the 100 point plateau by finishing with 53 win, 106 point season. This strong performance netted them the third seed for the playoffs. Yukon came in 12 points behind Mexico with a 43-21-8 record which was good for 94 points and the fourth seed in the playoffs. The Rush fans and organization were definitely happy with how their campaign turned out this season but going into the playoffs I would say there is still a very clear divide from the top 3 seeds and the rest of the field. And finally, the last team to make it out of the West was the Las Vegas Aces. They limped into the playoffs with a subpar 32-33-7 record, but don't let that fool you. They've been playing very strong hockey for quite awhile now. If you recall earlier in the season, the Aces started very slow and in my first Power Rankings of the season I mentioned that you shouldn't sleep on this team.  They will get the sixth seed in the playoffs and will have their hands full with the Kings, but I wouldn't rule out an upset.

    Over in the East,  things were equally as predictable. Minnesota tightened their grip on the top spot of the Eastern Conference in the ladder end of the season. They finished with 108 points which was 28 points ahead of the next team. It was really never in doubt. The Storm boasted the best offense in the league this season and they will look to keep things going in the playoffs at they with get the 2 vs 7 matchup to start their trophy hunt. The next closest team in the East was the Miami Marauders who finished with 37-29-6 record which was good for an even 80 points. Rounding out the 8 playoff teams are Ottawa in the 7th seed and Philadelphia  in the 8th seed. As previously stated, it feels like there is a massive drop-off outside the top 3 seeds this season. I don't foresee any major upsets this season, but within the top 3 I feel like it's anyone's game. Now that we've recapped which teams made the playoffs, let's start breaking down each series!

    This matchup is somewhat poetic. On one side you have the Bulls who are undeniably the best team in the league this season, while on the other side you have the defending champions from Season 75. I see this as a passing of the torch-like scenario. Houston is just too skilled and too deep to go out in the first round. They can roll 3 lines that are legitimate threats every time they are on the ice, and their defensive core can shut you down on any given night. The early season waiver claim of defenseman Reylynn Reinhart has proven to be crucial for the Bulls, as he has moved his way up the depth chart over the course of the season and been one of the key players on the Bulls' blueline. Netminder Trent Gibson has seen his stats stabilize  nicely after a rocky start as well, and if he is on his game for the playoffs, teams are going to have a tough time. While the Reapers do boast some lethal forwards with the likes of Kjell Nilsson and Thomas King, I don't think that will be enough to pull of the shocking upset. That kind of offense is tough to contain so I could see Philly taking a game or two and avoiding the sweep. Prediction: HOU in 5

    This matchup features two teams who were at the very bottom of the heap last season. That being said, this is a great example of how quickly you can turn your team around in the VHLM. Minnesota made a massive overhaul during the draft last season and loaded up on second and third round draft picks. They drafted well and then bolstered their team even more with trades to become a legitimate powerhouse this season. On the flipside though, you have Ottawa who were forced to forfeit their 1st round pick, and while they have a couple nice pieces, they just don't compare to Minnesota. The Lynx have done well to get themselves into the playoffs, but with two total defensemen who are both under 100 TPE, and only one forward over 200 TPE, I don't see Ottawa being able to hang with with best team in the East. The Storm are stacked offensively and are led by Brendan Telker who put up 115 points during the regular season. While the Storm aren't quite as deep on defense, they are still formidible and are led by their top blueliner Logan Moore. On their last line of defense, the Storm have netminder Tater Tot who has been amongst the best goaltenders in the league all season. I think the Storm will make short work of Ottawa in Round 1, but with that being said, crazier things have happened. Prediction: MIN in 4

    The 3 vs 6 matchup is an intriguing one, as two of the hottest teams in the Western Conference will clash. This is a rematch of the VHLM Semi-Finals from last season as the Aces will be looking for redemption after being ousted in 5 games. This will be a tall task for the Aces as the Kings are arguably just a strong as they were last season. This will also be the last shot at a Founder's Cup for Mexico City general manager Hylands, before he accepts his new gig in Malmo next season. Mexico features 2 solid lines of forwards that are absolute gamechangers and many of them have playoff experience to boot. They were also able to strengthen their defensive core with a pair of trades this season that saw them bring in top end players such as Clinton Giftopoulos and Yuuto Kira Cloudera. For Vegas, while they don't have quite the same high end talent, or depth, they still field a very solid roster and should not be counted out. While they are certainly underdogs in this series, they always have a chance to steal games with guys like potent 50-goal scorer Evgeni Shevkov and one of the top goalies in the league in Aksu Maronen. This could be a scrappy series that could be alot of fun to watch. I expect Mexico City to move on, though they will be tested. Prediction: MEX in 6

    The last matchup of Round 1 features fourth seed Yukon Rush taking on 5th seed Miami Marauders. Naturally the 4v5  matchup is a close and entertaining series, and this one looks to be no exception. Both teams are solid but I think the edge goes to Yukon thanks to their dynamic defensemen. When you are getting 70+ points from your d-men to help supplement your offense, you are getting a unique advantage that most other teams don't have. Yukon has 3 blueliners with 60 or more points, with Olof Samuelsson leading the entire team in scoring with 86 points. The Rush also get a balanced attack from their top 6 forwards, meanwhile in net, Matthew Sovick Jr has been rock solid this season. For Miami, while their defensemen may not match up to Yukon, I would say their forwards definitely pack a bit more of a punch. This is especially true for the duo of Phoenix Dawson and Alexander the Great. Also, in true Miami Marauders fashion, they made a nice mid-season addition by picking up recreate Zeedayno Chara. Chara helps stabilize an otherwise weak defensive core and was a massive pickup for Miami.  ClapbombsRUs has enjoyed a relatively steady season in net for Miami and he will have to play his best hockey if Miami wants to move on to the second round. Prediction: YUK in 6

    MexicanCow123 reacted to Quik in The one where the Player Store changes
    Hi Everyone,

    Something that has long been a point of contention is the Player Store, and that there is little point in purchasing non-depreciation fighters, given their cost relative to the other items available for purchase. Well, effective upon the conclusion of the Continental Cup Finals, there will be some changes to the prices of most items in the Player Store, which will be as follows:

    First Generation Doubles: $1.5M ---> $1M
    Point Task Upgrade: $3M ---> $1M
    VHL.com Upgrade: $3M ---> $1M
    Point Task Doubles Week: $4M ---> $2M
    Full Doubles Week: $7.5M ---> $4M
    Uncapped TPE Packages (5 / 10 / 20 TPE): $3M / $6M / $10M ---> $2M / $3.5M / $6M
    Awards Prediction Multiplier (x2 / x3): $2.5M / $5M ---> $1.5M / $3M

    As well, there will be adjustments increasing the cost of TPA Reroll and position switch, which will come into effect immediately, as well as the introduction of a true First-Gen re-roll that is a little more forgiving to members who have never had a VHL player before.

    TPA Reroll: $6M ---> $7M
    Position Switch: $3M ---> $7M

    First Gen TPA Reroll: $3M*

    For the First Gen Reroll, only members who have never had a VHL player before are eligible, and only while still on their Rookie Level Contract. Any member/player that does not meet these requirements must purchase the regular TPA Reroll.

    Thank you,
    @Commissioner

    Markinson Joins Mexico City

    Last week the STZ Agency returned to the VHL with their newest signing Hard Markinson. He's projected to be a top-pairing defenseman in the VHL, with good skating, a hard shot, and very physical defensive presence. His offensive awareness, puck handling, and play-making ability has been put into question; but he has many years to gain experience and develop those skills. After declaring for the S78 VHL Draft, Markinson was faced with the decision, where to play this VHLM season before being put into the VHLM Draft for next year. Markinson received nine offers from the following teams; Halifax 21sts, San Diego Marlins, Houston Bulls, Las Vegas Aces, Yukon Rush, Mexico City Kings, Miami Marauders, Saskatoon Wild, and Philadelphia Reapers. The decision was not taken lightly. At the end of the day Markinson and his agency team decided to go with the Mexico City Kings. The team is well run by both @Hylandsand @Juicewhich was a big factor in choosing to sign there. The team and members were also unique and all players I've never experienced playing with before. Markinson's build I really wanted to test in a high-octane offensive team, where he could be slotted high in the line-up, but also while being on a competitor. I also didn't want to go onto a team who had a bunch of players that would be bumped down because of the Free Agent signing(s). After reviewing the index and the most recent last 20 games played, I really liked the make-up of the Kings, and thought it would be a good spot for my new player.

    With that being said, I wanted to give a bit of a shoutout to those teams that made the effort to offer my player a spot. I think this current crop of VHLM GM's is incredible, and like I said in my player post, I was shocked how many and quick offers were made.

    Halifax 21sts @rory - The first one to offer, it was in record time. I mean rory is always online, I feel like I can meme post in discord and he always reacts. Originally Halifax was the team I wanted to join the most. I really considered it with their playoff matchups, and even seeing them get big wins on a few of the top VHLM teams. But at the end of the day, the team just didn't look right with my build. I would love to land here in the draft, but it just didn't align this time.

    San Diego Marlins @thadthrasher - I might have joined strictly based on the introduction video (I Think that was you who did the suit and tie vid). To be honest, I was looking at teams that would be playing in playoffs, and San Diego was missing. Still appreciate the offer, I think it's important, especially for new players to have a ton of teams offer them a spot, so even though there was little chance I would sign with most of the season over, still lots of value in what you are doing.

    Houston Bulls @rjfryman - This would have been a cheese signing. I think Houston is an absolute killer team, and I don't think they need any help. In fact, I would probably be hurting the team to bring a sub-200 TPE player to their team. I love the squad and it would have been a cool playoff run, but it just didn't make sense to me. I would rather be a bigger piece to a team, and hopefully push a team forward rather than just be sitting back seat to a cup. I'm a hug rj fan, and would love to play for Houston in the future if it came up!

    Las Vegas Aces @Spartan - Spartan is the only GM to reach out in discord. I like the extra effort. My last player was on Vegas, so I had experienced the team before. In all honesty, I didn't realize Conferences didn't matter in playoff matchups. I thought Vegas would have had the hardest road to a cup. I didn't realize that they weren't stuck in the 4th seed against Houston or Mexico. That was the main reason I didn't go with Vegas.. I mean knowing what I know now, I probably would have still made the same decision, but that's what I was thinking at the time. Spartan is a great guy, and seems to have done very well as VHLM GM.. Would be great to return to Vegas if drafted.

    Yukon Rush @MexicanCow123- Yukon is kind of the same situation as Vegas. I thought if I had joined the Western Conference it would be Mexico or Houston, didn't know about the cross-over rule. I don't really know Cow all that well, I think I've played a few Amung Us games with him, I remember the deep voice lol. But Cow is one of those under the radar guys who has really put in the work and made a name for himself. I definitely appreciate the offer.

    Miami Marauders @Ricer13 - This was another one of those sneaky teams that I never considered before sifting through the index. The team is built well, with a great member-base. I like Ricer a lot, and it would have been a solid fit for Markinson. I think just at the end of the day there's a few extra max-cap players on Mexico that just pushed me over the edge in that direction. The Marauders are definitely on the right path, and look to have a good shot next season (Assuming your roster is all drafted and are staying next season). Thank you for your consideration, man!

    Saskatoon Wild @Doomsday- I think this one was the toughest decision. Doom is such a good guy, and has been such a huge advocate for not only my time as VHLM GM, but has brought a lot of my old players to life with his historian articles. Such a nice offer message. Saskatoon was able to sign four free agent S78 players, and I just wanted to spread the wealth around. I think the lockerroom would have had a huge injection of talent, experience, and activity with the guys you added; I thought me signing at another team would just be a better fit overall, and spread that activity out throughout the league. I definitely appreciate the offer from you and of course the nice words as always. Keep doing what you're doing, Doom, you've proven to be a fantastic GM and you're an example of doing things the right way brotha.

    Philadelphia Reapers @DMaximus - My time in Philly with Graves might have actually pushed this forward for me. But ultimately just wasn't the right fit. I think the team is solid, but I didn't reallyknow mamny members there, and I don't know if they can quite handle the top teams in the minors quite yet. But again, appreciate the offer.

    1. It's the halfway mark of the season, if your player matched their production up to now for the rest of the season, would you be happy with your season?
    I think compared to last season i have had had a Steller year. I think having the best defense in the league in front of is really helping and man our forwards are damn good too. I think this team is just super and thats why im performing better.

    2. Likewise, on a team level, do you think there is room for improvement?
    We have a few off games where we just need to tighten up. But really we just need to keep playing our game.

    3. What is one skill you'd like to be able to borrow from one of your teammates?
    Man give me Mikkos' scoring ability as a goalie and id be unstoppable. (Tonn decides to play the puck, ohh he shoots oh man thats a rocket its in it just went right threw the goalie).

    4. I don't think expansion is necessarily on the horizon in either the VHL or VHLM but where would you put the next franchise in either league?
    GET ONE IN Hawaii BABY. PLEASE. Just imagine going on a vacation to relax on the beach, then going to watch a hockey game. That franchise would make billions.

    5. Other than Moscow of course, what is your favourite VHL franchise?
    I really did enjoy my time in Seattle. Bana was a great gm and friend. Seattle was my home and i loved it there.

    6. Do you think we'll see some trade deadline movement this season?
    Not us specially all to much. But teams are already going hard this season, we'll see if they slow down.
