The Scotty Campbell Trophy is given to the most valuable player from the regular season. It seeks to award the player that has elevated their game and their team’s performance to the next level, showcasing a rare amount of skill that is only found among the upper echelon of VHL players.

This season, the player most deserving of the award was a clear choice, from both their leadership as well as their statistical feats.

A goaltender who has been a true beast in the net for quite some time and has been showing off their skills in every area of VHL. Now, in the last season of his career, he absolutely took VHL by storm and showed everyone what they will miss in terms of skill and raw talent.

With a unanimous decision, this year’s Scotty Campbell Trophy winner is the truly outstanding goaltender of Prague Phantoms - Brick Wahl!

Congratulations @BladeMaiden!

Next Up -  Playoff MVP Award, the Daisuke Kanou Trophy…

The Daisuke Kanou Trophy is awarded to the most valuable player during the VHL playoffs. Similar to the Scotty Campbell Trophy, the Kanou focuses on those players who have what it takes to perform in the clutch moments of a playoff run, and who are instrumental to their team’s postseason successes.

One of the best-known playoff performers has done it again. His amazing play for S68 and S69 Seattle Bears was one of the mains reasons the team was able to win back to back championships. His play was outstanding and without him, we can wonder if Seattle Bears would be here in the first place.

Congratulations to the S71 winner of the Daisuke Kanou Trophy, for his brilliancy in the net for our Continental Cup champions, Rayz Funk!

Congratulations  to @Rayzor_7!

Frederik Elmebeck Memorial Trophy is awarded to the most valued community member this past season. Even though it might mean many different things for each person who voted, it all comes down to being a great member of this community, an amazing person and a good friend. The same way as many valued our dear friend Fredrik Elmebeck, a true MVP of our community.

Many received votes and there was no one having a landslide victory. This time we are crowing a person who has done truly immense work on making our league run smoothly and help anyone who has come to ask for help.

Runner-up is our good friend and contributor @Berocka!

And the Frederik Elmebeck Memorial Trophy goes to @Josh!

Congratulations!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top overall defenceman in the VHL, the Sterling Labatte Trophy focuses on both the offensive and defensive properties of our players who call the blue line home.

A player who truly shined this season. His play for his Riga Reign team was unparalleled and his contribution was recognized around the league. On both ends of the floor, he was able to dominate and be a presence no matter the scoreboard said.
Runner up for Lebatte Trophy is Lance Flowers @CowboyinAmerica

Congratulations to our Sterling Labatte Trophy winner for S71, Riga Reign blue-liner - Lincoln Tate!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top offensive defenseman in the VHL, this trophy emphasizes those defensemen who can seem to stop scoring.

Whether it be by putting away the chances themselves, or by creating goals for others, Valiq Trophy winners pride themselves on their ability to put points on the board for their team.

A rookie defenceman showing off his immense talent and ability to lead the way for a struggling but promising young team in Davos. This award goes to the future of this league or should I say - present?

Congratulations to the S71 Alexander Valiq Trophy winner, a truly brilliant and generational talent that wowed everyone this seasons - Roque Davis!

Congratulations @Josh!

Awarded to the player deemed the VHL’s top defensive defenseman, the Jake Wylde Trophy was created to showcase those defensemen who excel on the grittier side of the game.

Known for his heavy hits, this year’s winner consistently proved his dogged determination to not allow the opponents to score, putting his body on the line for his team.

No real competition this season, Wylde is going to a defenceman that is recognised as a player who was able to break out and show his skills and help Riga Reign make playoffs!

With brilliant defensive game and wonderful showing of skill, we would like to congratulate our S71 Jake Wylde Trophy winner Lincoln Tate of Riga Reign!

Congratulations @Tate!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top goalie in the VHL, the Aidan Shaw Trophy recognizes our netminders and rewards them for their hard work.

This time there was no question about who is the best goaltender this season, Prague Phantoms were lead by a player bearing an already respectable and well-known name. I think you might now where I am going with this.

The winner of Aiden Shaw Trophy is the outstanding goaltender of Prague Phantoms - Brick Wahl!

Congratulations @BladeMaiden!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the best two-way forward in the VHL, the Scott Boulet honours those forwards who excel in both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.

With a combination of physicality and technical ability, Boulet winners epitomize the classical hockey mould, providing entertaining play through heavy hits as well as creating goals.

This season there were no real discussions about who is the winner. This player has been an amazing presence for Vancouver Wolves and was instrumental in their playoff run! His talent speaks for itself.

Without further ado, congratulations to this year’s Scott Boulet Trophy winner: Hunter Hearst Helmsley!

Congratulations @Beaviss!

Awarded to the player deemed to be the top rookie in the VHL, the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy commemorates the crème de la crème of the up and coming VHL stars.

This award is always hard to give out, as it is so difficult for young players to adapt to the fast-paced, challenging nature of the VHL, and there are always so many great options to choose from.

A truly dominating results for a player who was just in the first season of his career. Now it will be only about his ability to sustain this level of play. Davos should be proud.

Congratulations to this year’s Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winner, brilliant showing from such a promising young talent, Roque Davis!

Congratulations @Josh!

Next up: The David Knight Trophy for Top General Manager…

Awarded to the general manager deemed to be the best in the VHL, the David Knight Trophy is for those general managers whose actions help their team and franchise succeed, leading them to greater things.

The best managers are those who can build a cohesive unit that plays with each other and for each other. It is often difficult to see that direct impact any given manager has, and it is for that reason that this is always such a hard decision.

With so many deserving managers, there will always be some left out from the awards, but we at VSN want to extend a warm thank you to all the executives that work to make this league tick.

The runner up for this season’s David Knight Trophy is a GM who built a truly great team in NA that unfortunately was not able to show its true power in playoffs these playoffs! Mr. Louth! @Beaviss

S71 David Knight Trophy goes to a GM who has been able to build one of the most intriguing and playoff dominant teams of recent times. Congratulations to Blake Campbell!

 Congratulations @Banackock

Awarded to the player deemed to be the most improved in the VHL, the Dustin Funk was created to award those players who always put in the extra time in the practice rink.

So many players in this league work on their game day in and day out, but there is always a select group of players who have elevated their game to the next level.

Not really a close vote by any standard, this player in this award ceremony already has been recognized as a truly highly talented and valued player around the league and it is fitting to see a player who was able to elevate his game so much to be selected for this award.

For his outstanding play and ability to help his team succeed, the winner of S71 Dustin Funk Trophy is Brick Wahl of Prague Phantoms!

Congratulations @BladeMaiden!

Well, that wraps up the individual awards!

Next up: All-rookie and All-VHL teams!
