    So @McWolf  and I have been discussing this - ironically wanted to discuss it between the two of us to save time over doing apps since it's midseason,  but that didn't end up making it quicker. Anyway, we've gone with an existing agm, someone who doesn't have to prep on the rules and everything under the circumstances and has kind of already stepped in. Likely wouldn't have been the choice through apps just because of how new he is, but he's been great and certainly worked his way into the spot.

    I mean I'll be honest here, I'm very against this idea (and in fact this was *kind of* one of the tiebreakers for why McWolf got the position rather than Eno). I actually don't mind the competitive cycling of the M because it means that there are actually a variety of different situations a new player can get into when they join. Some people will want a competitive team, some people will want more playing time, and some people will prefer some level of mixture between the two. Get rid of draft picks, make the league too "even" across the board, and there won't really be any decisions for them to make. They'll basically just be joining a team for cosmetic reasons, rather than because the teams actually offer them different experiences.

    While I agree that trivia when gotten from a shared answer list is too easy, I would also posit that trivia when finding the answers yourself is the hardest TPE on the site by a mile. While Dil's idea would get trivia back to its original purpose (and fair enough, if that's what the league deems necessary) I'd argue having to sit and actually find the answers every week would burn people out far quicker than they realize.

    We're still new to the post-Landry era, and he was basically just perennial captain, so this was a weirder one. The votes came in, and 1 and 2 were fairly clear, but there was a 3 way tie for 3rd, which to be fair just shows the team has a wider range of support which is always welcome. After no tiebreaking vote came about, I made the executive decision on the final A. I also certainly back the voters' preferences on the other two as well.

    It has come to the attention of the league that @Doomsday has gone a bit awol recently. McWolf and I have been discussing, and this decision is first and foremost for the health of the VHLM on the whole. Anyone who's been here longer than a week knows Doomsday and I go way back, and he's one of my favorite people here, so naturally I'm hoping this is as simple as life got busy for a few weeks and he'll be back at the helm before you know it, and someone with his history and reputation here certainly deserves that chance - but for the time being, it's not what's best for Saskatoon and for the VHLM. 

     

    As a result, we are naming an Interim GM. Given the position the league is in, and the fact that it's never ideal to pick something up during the season, we've gone with an existing AGM who is already in on league talks and the like. Additionally, there is one current AGM who has been a VHLM GM before, has experience doing the job, and knows its ins and outs - and not to be too spoiler-y, but was in the final few names for the last crew of openings, and is more likely than not to get a position in the near future whether it's this one or another one.

    Full disclosure: this may be temporary, and the parties involved were informed of that. The position is Doomsday's until it isn't, and we don't know as of yet what has happened with him, so it's entirely possible things revert to how they were at the beginning of the season. It's also entirely possible this becomes a longer term thing, if for whatever reason he does not return to his normal activity, and the person in question is certainly qualified should he need to take the reins for good. Of all people though, Doomsday deserves the benefit of the doubt - he's had chances to move onto bigger and better things and has chosen to stay in the VHLM, so we know where his heart lies. 

    Obligatory @VHLM GM tag so that when I later tag the person we're stealing from, they can't determine that it's them from the sake of having been tagged, and the others can't determine it's not them from the lack of one.

Love playing with these two players as the points and wins are just rolling in now. Today 14 goals, 21 assist for 35 points is simple impressive!! Let keep it going as we have currently turned our season around.

    Lambert is especially doing well on PP, 5 PP goals, tied for 2nd in that stat
