Next up is the Kevin Brooks Trophy, awarded to the player(s) who led the VHL in goals. However, this season there was only room at the top for one, who separated himself from the pack with two more goals than the competition. Chris Hylands @Hylands was a driving force for the eventual Continental Cup champion Malmo Nighthawks with 44 goals, good for third in the VHL. Toronto's John Merrick @Steve just edged him with 45 goals, falling two short of the league leader, Guy Lesieur @KC15 of the DC Dragons! After Mikko Lahtinen led the league with 61 last season, individual scoring leveled out again, but all of the top ten had over 40 goals regardless. It's Lesieur's third straight season with 40+ goals, breaking his career high of 46 set in Season 73, winning his first Kevin Brooks Trophy in the process.

We move on now to the Mike Szatkowski Trophy, awarded annually to the player(s) who led the VHL in points. We had three players break the 100 point plateau in Season 75, with two players separated by just one point at season's end. Chris Hylands @Hylands, making another appearance tonight, finished the year with an even 100 points in a memorable season for him. Andrew Su @Da_Berr of the Vancouver Wolves and John Merrick @Steve were neck and neck down the stretch, but in the end, Merrick edged out Su by one point, 107 to 106. After a spectacular rookie season, Merrick's torrid start to his career continues, as he has won the Mike Szatkowski Trophy for leading the VHL in points in just his second season! This rising star will have a lot of eyes on him next season!

Congratulations to the Mike Szatkowski Trophy winner, with 107 points, John Merrick!

The Greg Clegane Trophy, awarded to the netminder with the lowest goals allowed average in the league, gives us a chance to show our goalers some love. This one came down to a battle for supremacy between two goalies in the North American Conference: Jacques Lafontaine @SlapshotDragon, a two-time Greg Clegane Trophy winner of the Calgary Wranglers, and Stone Wolski @DollarAndADream , the DC Dragons netminder looking to deliver on the hype that made him a high draft selection in Season 71. It was again very close, with just .03 separating the two, but in three more appearances, Wolski's 2.45 takes home the prize as the lowest GAA among starting netminders. It's his first award won during his career, and he's still got time to expand upon that brand new trophy case as well!

Congratulations to Stone Wolski, the Greg Clegane Trophy winner!

The VHLM delivered another great batch of rookies in Season 75, but only one can be the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winner! Awarded to the player deemed to be the top rookie of the year, we had four rookies who really made a case for themselves this season! Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment led all rookies in Season 75 with 89 points, making a dangerous duo with fellow rookie Gary Rush @G_Rush on the New York Americans, who also put up 85 points of his own. Riga's rookie netminder, Calvin Harvey @Mrpenguin30, put up a stellar season, turning a Reign team many believed to be a doormat into a spoiler. Winning 28 games with a .920 save percentage was a very impressive start to his career! Another rookie goalie, Kevin Malone @WentzKneeFan036, helped take the London United to their first ever playoff berth, winning 29 games with a .912 save percentage and 5 shutouts, which was second in the VHL! Finally, we have L @gorlab, the rookie blue liner of the Chicago Phoenix, who tallied 60 points, 188 hits, and 171 shots blocked on the Cinderella Chicago squad.

Let's find out who that top rookie will be this season! Your winner is...
