User @Baozi has received the following punishments, citing articles 1.4 and 1.5 for both harassment and personal attacks towards another member.

 

        - 2 week discord/forum suspension with role removal (effective immediately through 7/12/22)

        - 1 week TPE ban effective the week of 7/3-7/10

 

The VHL maintains its policy of not tolerating any code of conduct violations from individuals, no matter their level of authority. This includes, but is not limited to, political discussions on the following platforms:

         - VHL discord (not allowed on any channel under any circumstances)

         - VHL website forum (allowed under unique circumstances with pre-approval from a staff member)

 

Forthcoming, politically relevant discussions on the forums will be subject to closer review and moderation by staff members in efforts to ensure both constructive discussions and a safe space for what can be perceived as difficult or controversial topics to the community’s members.

 

We encourage members to continue utilizing both the code of conduct and incident form as a means of reporting any violations to the VHL’s staff.

 User @Jack Johnson has received a permanent ban from the VHL for harassing multiple staff members (code of conduct article 1.4) as a result of the member's previous punishments on 6/26/22.

User @axtron has received a 1 Week TPE Ban (Jul 4-Jul 10) for a violation of the VHL Code of Conduct (Section 1.2).

 

User was found to have created and used multiple accounts/players. In addition to the TPE ban, the other account ( @tehcanuck ) has been permanently banned.

User @Bedirhanhas received a 1 week forum suspension (10/4-10/11) and 2 week tpe ban (weeks starting 10/10 and 10/17) for violation of the vhl code of conduct.

 

Specifically section 1.1 attacks against sexual orientation and gender identity. 

 

Reminder to all that everyone is allowed to freely share their gender identity and sexual orientation and speak about it. We don't tolerate comments made discouraging healthy conversations about said topics.

User @jRuutu has received a 2 week forum suspension (10/4-10/18) and 3 week tpe ban (weeks starting 10/10, 10/17, 10/24)

User @lil OG zhas been indefinitely suspended for conduct recently in threads and deemed to be in violation of the VHL Code of Conduct 1.1 They have been found to be baiting others into arguments and have been continually inciting aggression towards multiple members. They have also been found in violation of 1.4 and 1.5 causing drama and fighting with other members. As this is not the type of community we want to foster, 16z has been indefinitely suspended pending appeal. They may apply for suspension appeal November 5, 2022.

User @GiosPoolPartyhas been given a 4 week tpe ban (Weeks starting 10/10,10/17, 10/24, 10/31) and a 1 week forum ban (10/7-10/14) for breaking the code of conduct specially 1.1 having multiple accounts. The following accounts will be permanently banned:

User @Achilles has been given a 4 week ban from forums and discord until Nov. 16,2022. TPE Ban until Nov. 21, 2022.

 

Violations include:

1.2 Creation of multi-account @lorthion

 

Ban also included additional severity based on users attempt to circumvent current timeout via the creation of additional accounts and abuse of reporting functions.

User @Achilles has been permanently banned from VHL for additional infractions during their current ban.

 

Violations include:

1.1 - Harassment of ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability nature.

1.4 - Harassment of members continuously during ban.

1.5 - Targeted personal attacks on members.

 

 

While the harassment and attacks took place outside of the forums/discord, they impact the safety of our community members and the nature of the attacks were of VHL related reasons. The safety of our community remains our top priority.

User @rory has been banned for a code of conduct violation specifically the sections as followed:

 

1.1: Personal attacks and baiting

1.5 unprovoked antagonizing comments and targeting specific members repeatedly. 

 

They have received a 1 week forum ban and TPE ban (Week ending 10/30). Along with a 3 week discord ban from the main vhl server.

It should be noted that upon appeal it was found certain due processes were not adequately followed. For this reason @jRuutu’s final week of TPE ban (this week) has been removed.

User was found to have created a multi account, @unknown, which has been permanently banned.

Given that the user's player is inactive, they have received a communications ban, in contrast to a TPE ban

User @YourSweetBaboohas received a 2-week forum and discord ban for violating the VHL Code of Conduct. The bans will last until March 30th, 2023. They will also receive a 2-week tpe ban lasting weeks ending 3/26 and 4/2.

 

Violations are from sections:

1.4 harassment

User @Bedirhan has been banned for 2 weeks for violating section 1.5 of the code of conduct of conduct. This will include suspended access from the site until 6/10. As well as a tpe ban for weeks ending 6/4 and 6/11

 

This is in regards to language used that can be seen as hate speech to members of effected minorities. This has also been partially extended due to past issues of making inappropriate comments.

User @MexicanCow123 has received a 3 week TPE ban starting 6/12/2023 and ending 7/03/2023 for violation of the VHL Code of Conduct sections 1.4 and 1.5 for harassment and threat of doxing of another user while being in a position of authority. In light of MexicanCow’s service to the community, and being his first offense, he has also shown remorse and conduct of an individual understanding his mistake and as such, he will retain his current roles while being under probation until the end of August. During this time he will not receive GM pay.

 

The VHL wants all members to understand that attempt or threats of doxing are unacceptable, the safety of our members are always our top priority and in this case we have affirmed that all parties involved in this matter are satisfied that that steps taken are appropriate and we maintain that standard.

User @LastOneUp has received a 2 week TPE ban for violation of the VHL Code of Conduct section 1.2 in regards to plagiarism. Related point tasks will be rendered invalid for points and the TPE ban will begin upon the next activity due to inactivity of the user.
