Sorry if I've been not around as much lately, I've honestly felt a bit depressed as of late. Thankfully apparently my computer is finally fixed after a month 1/2, so I'll be more active this upcoming week

Newly engaged and freaking exhausted.

I'm back! (and realized I forgot to post in the away thread and just told staff instead: reason below the "read more) When I got to Europe, I got so lucky for so many reasons. The most important was that my assigned-by-the-company roommate turned out to become the absolute best friend I've ever had. He moved out and got on a plane to South Africa today, and I needed to be very present this last week. December has been a roller coaster of emotion to say the least. Life moves fast, and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it. Appreciate the good things you have now, because they won't always be there.

Do we know who on this site has the most posts without ever winning a day? I'd like to think that myself who is at like 1500+ without ever winning a day must be in the conversation. Like this so i win today ty

Just a little bit of my personal experience here in VHL after a month being here actively. Lot's and I mean truly LOT'S of people have been super supportive and have done so much to ensure that my time that is spent here is as much fun as it can be. First off, huge thanks to @BladeMaiden as she as a VHLM GM was just truly amazing by showing guidance and allowing everyone on the team to feel welcome and at "home". Secondly, huge thanks to all the lovely experienced player builders that shared their knowledge and made everything make sense. Overall, as the community here is growing more and more every day, I do have to say that even forums and just information exchange between people is really, really refreshing and shows that VHL is not populated by douchebags. Truly, a great first month and I do hope that this will continue in the future.

I’m not a liberal. I’m not a conservative. I’m none of those labels. I vote for what represents me, my family, the world I wish to see it become.. sometimes it’s NDP. Sometimes it’s been conservative. I swear I tossed in a vote during the pandemic for JT too just to spite the far right when they were doing blockades and using all their intelligence to shut down highways and spread conspiracies.. All the examples I can think of but the most recent is when Trudeau was in BC and a woman approached him. He responded appropriately, and she told him to get the fuck out of “her” province and acted so embarrassingly towards him.. Is this what we’ve become as humans? To walk up to people and tell them to get the fuck out and bring such hatred and depression to other human beings.. such ugliness will n this world we have, hey? We attack governments because we disagree and overthrow shit etc. We’re so oblivious to ourselves.. we judge other cultures for being bad.. and everything we say others do wrong, if you really look, WE DO IT TOO! I do think this is a good move. If not a good move, inevitable. He was losing the next election. Just remember in 7 years when stuff is still the same, government is government. It’s all the same bull shit

I did this last year, but like this status and I will include your name in a VHL Christmas song that will be released in a Beers with Boot Christmas Special. Will release all songs I wrote last year for the ones that liked it then and new songs for those that like it now. Cheers

I am learning as I go, but I have to admit, this looks really interesting.

After a great deal of wondering whether I'm good enough, I got my first grad school acceptance today! Here's to many more.

Eras notwithstanding (trust me, I know this isn't nearly as much of a thing now as it was then, but bear with me): Lars Intranquilo 989 Clark Marcellin 956 (7 season retirement, team needs) Martin Brookside 908 I think (something in the 90_ set) ... Dagmar Havlova 1002.

I already said this in the locker room but man, it has been fun being a Wrangler. All of you are such awesome and welcoming people and truly made the experience so awesome. @Ricer13, @Jubis, you two were there from the beginning. I still remember when Jubis wasn't a GM and I spent my year as a backup. Then when I finally got the starting role, you two and everyone else on the team were so kind and patient, keeping the locker room positive. You two were definitely the biggest leaders of this team during my tenure, with @Patrik Tallinder joining in the leadership later in my player's career. To all three of you, your presence in the locker room as well as your excellent players were a big part of this team and it's turnaround. Without you guys and the rest of the Wranglers in the earlier days, I don't think we'd have the great locker room we have now. Special shoutout to Rylan Peace, who brought me in to Saskatoon on that historic run. While you weren't a Wrangler, you definitely played a part in how I made Laffy. @Big Macand @animal74, while we were teammates and heck, even when we weren't, it was always fun to play along and against you guys. @ROOKIE745 and @DarkSpyro, you two were great rivals and helped motivate me to push forward with Laffy despite early struggles. Our matchups were legendary and the respect we had for each other was admirable. Seriously, thank you two for everything, thank you for being such great competitors. To the Wranglers of the future and our young guns, kick ass next season and carry the torch higher than we ever did. Asky, it's your time to shine, we all believe in you. For one last time as "Jacques Lafontaine", thank you.

Sorry everyone! I had a very rough patch where I almost didn't even think about logging in. I'd rather not share the details but I'm glad to be back!

Am I doomed or am I BOOMed? I took @BOOM's advice and started my own company last week. Just finished the website. Now I need to order business cards and advertise.

Slater's been drafted 7th overall in both the VHLE and VHL! Thank you to all the GMs who interviewed me. Had a great experience chatting with all of you. Looking forward to playing with Oslo in the VHLE and Chicago in the VHL

As we get closer to the M draft, I have had 5 teams reach out to me....and that is 5 more than I thought would be interested in me. It is nice to have the chance to be a part of this league again. Yall are good people and I am looking forward to making my mark here.

Just want to thank you all for the well wishes sent to my wife and I during this past week. We really appreciate it. I’ll be stepping back into things in the VHL slowly this week as we begin to work and function again. Thank you everyone!

As of Thursday, November 26th, I have officially been a VHL member for six months! It's been an awesome ride and I hope to stick around for a while longer.

Can I just say that the more I learn about this league, the more I find it genuinely amazing with how well ran it is? The level of detail and care that has been put into this league is astounding and just incredible.

There is a possibility (not a guarantee, but a possibility) that I'll run another Town of Salem game this season rather than waiting for the offseason to do it. Any interest?

Very proud of the effort from all my teammates in Miami this season. This wasn't the ending we wanted but I'm still proud of how far we came. I want to wish everyone the best who will be going up the VHL next season and keep flying the Marauders' flag proud if you're sticking in the M. Special shoutout to @fishy, @Spartan, & @PatrikLaine for making my VHLM life better and I'm humbled to be able to call you all friends. Onto Vancouver; @jpsd, @Poptart, @Beaviss, let's win a championship.
