Now a four-time David Knight Trophy winner, this is Jason Glasser's first with the Prague Phantoms, and his first since Season 34. After several seasons of disappointments and near-misses, Prague burst onto the scene in Season 76, establishing themselves as a contender in the European Conference. Led by the veteran Thomas Landry II @Doomsday and bolstered by a deep crop of rookie prospects, Jason Glasser made the difficult decision to part with franchise blue liner Cinnamon Block @omgitshim before the season, but was rewarded with the emergence of John LeClair II @flyersfan1406 and Dan Baillie Jr @wcats, along with strong rookie seasons from Dominic Gobeil @Domg5, Battre Sandstrom @Acydburn , and Robert Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito as the Phantoms clicked into a force. Tonight, we recognize the MVP of the S76 Playoffs with the Daisuke Kanou Trophy. Jean Pierre Camus @solas was an absolute monster for the Chicago Phoenix, who became Continental Cup champions on the wings of the elite performances of their goaltender. Ajay Krishna @Hooperorama fought like a lion for the Warsaw Predators, but even in a losing effort, he displayed the heart of a champion. Mikko Lahtinen @Beketov didn't reach the Cup Finals with Moscow, but he still led all players in the postseason with 27 points regardless. Dakota Lamb @dlamb was the driving force for Warsaw's offense during their spirited run, tallying 21 points for the Predators. Tonight, one of these players will transcend greatness, and take their place in VHL lore as a legend of the game, a player who played the biggest when it mattered the most. The winner of the Daisuke Kanou Trophy, and Season 76 Playoff MVP, is... Reveal hidden contents Jean Pierre Camus! An absolute slam dunk win for Camus, as he took all votes outside of a write-in for Kyl Oferson @Nykonax , who wasn't even on the ballot. Simply put, he was an absolute monster in net for the Continental Cup champion Chicago Phoenix, only losing three games the entire post-season. Boasting a .931 save percentage and a 2.54 GAA, Jean Pierre Camus absolutely slammed the door on the opposition during Chicago's playoff run, including what could be a career-defining game for Camus, shutting out Warsaw in Game Five to clinch the Continental Cup for the Phoenix. In the running this season is Roque Davis @Josh, Mikko Lahtinen @Beketov, Andrew Su @Da_Berr, and Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123! If you're a Moscow Menace fan, you loved this ballot. If you aren't, then your options were kinda limited this year. With many deserving players, it's time to see who the community felt was the best of the best. The votes are in! Your winner, receiving 44.38 percent of the votes with 75, is... Reveal hidden contents Mikko Lahtinen!! Co-leading the league with 121 points, a league-best 61 goals, and 329 hits are a pretty tall order to stand up against, as the lack of a physical component to Andrew Su's game certainly hurt him at the polls, with his status as the only Moscow player on the ballot proved to not be enough to boost him up. The complete element of Mikko Lahtinen's play certainly led to the decisive win, as there was no need to stop the count here. Four players stood out to the Awards Committee as worthy candidates this season! Mikko Lahtinen @Beketov, who made a strong case for a third-straight Scotty Campbell Trophy by tying for the league lead in points and leading Moscow to a Victory Cup. Thomas Landry II @Doomsday was the beating heart of the rise of the Prague Phantoms, by far the leading scorer of the team with 105 points and a pivotal force for their return to the playoffs. Andrew Su @Da_Berr not only led the Vancouver Wolves in points by a large margin, he tied for the league lead, and seemingly always delivered for his team. Ola Vikingstad @Dil was a monster for the Helsinki Titans in spite of his involvement in the creation of a pillow fighting league, scoring 110 points to power his squad to another playoff appearance. The wait is over, let's crown our MVP! The winner of the Scotty Campbell Trophy is... Reveal hidden contents ANDREW SU!! Tied for the league lead in points with Mikko Lahtinen with 121, the biggest difference for Su was his supporting cast. While Lahtinen had two other 100+ point scorers on the team, Su had none. Second place on the Vancouver Wolves was Venus Thightrap @BladeMaiden, with 86 points, or 35 less than Su. He was the pivotal force for the Vancouver Wolves, willing them to the postseason, and matching the production of Lahtinen without the same support the former had. His importance to his team did not go unnoticed, and it has culminated in a night that Su will never forget: the night he rose to the top of the VHL as the Scotty Campbell Trophy winner, the most valuable player of Season 76. Congratulations to Andrew Su on winning the highest individual award in the VHL, the Scotty Campbell Trophy! Behold, VHL: your most valuable player!! Rookie point leader Red Lite @Tate immediately became a force, and New York enjoyed a strong rookie campaign from defenseman Chicken Wing @chikn to give the Americans another strong showing on the VHL All-Rookie Team yet again. Dominic Gobeil @Domg5 stepped up to become one of the Prague Phantoms' best forwards as a rookie, and has a bright future ahead of him. Linus Zetterstrom @Ledge_and_Dairy had a phenomenal rookie season with the Riga Reign, giving them two members on the team as well. Lastly, Rara Rasputin @Victor was tremendous in net for the Seattle Bears, and with a phenomenal performance in the playoffs, Seattle fans are thinking they've got their next franchise netminder. Kris Rice @Ricer13, an unsung hero on the Moscow Menace, finished with 105 points in his final season, as did Scotty Campbell Trophy finalist Thomas Landry II @Doomsday of the Prague Phantoms. Cinnamon Block @omgitshim finished just shy of 100 points in her final season, and Matty Socks @fishy continues to add to his brilliant career thus far with an All-VHL Second Team selection. Zamboni Driver @Tape-to-Tape had another big season in net for the Helsinki Titans, and rounds out the All-VHL Second Team!! With 121 points, the top two forwards of Season 76 are joined by Ola Vikingstad @Dil, who racked up 50 goals and 110 points with the Helsinki Titans. Roque Davis @Josh, the Sterling Labatte Trophy winner, amongst others, joins Latrell Mitchell @dasboot, the Jake Wylde Trophy winner, on the blue line as the face of the new elite defensemen in the VHL. In net is none other than Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123, which is no surprise considering his domination in the crease. The best of the best… the All-VHL First Team!!
