I opened this notification expecting it to say something along the lines of "I know, that's why I picked it" - finding out that at the time, you genuinely had no idea who he was, that just makes it better. Guy had so many knee issues it was surprising he could even finish out his time at Oklahoma (although it's a little easier when your running back is Adrian Peterson) but it's still just weird to think of him going from Heisman to no NFL.

I've never used my real name for a player, but it is my GM/Builder name. Two of my players have been from TV shows (Clark Marcellin from Tilt, Evan R. Lawson from Royal Pains), one was a generated name from a soccer game I used to play (Xperteleven - Kerkko Hyvarinen was my star centerback for years), and the rest have mostly just been names I liked, although perhaps with minor references here and there (Vaclav Hrdina was theoretically the son of Jan Hrdina, old former Pens center - Martin Brookside was a reference to Brookside chocolates, which were chocolate covered blueberries, cranberries, and pomegranate bits that were big at the time - Lars Intranquilo was a reference to Tranquilo Barnetta the soccer player, with a pun about the meaning of the word "tranquil" and how Intranquilo was anything but tranquil, hence the In- suffix).

yeah it's annoying that we didn't save them. But I think was just a case of us switching hosts in S18 (so we have that and S19) and then finally getting our own site for S20. But for your purposes, I don't think there would have been a long shutout streak in the first 17 seasons, way more offensive back then. Maybe from someone like Laframboise but feel like that would be better known.

Yeah, for this purpose I’m not too worried. I can’t see there being a streak longer than 2 prior to the Shaw / Kanou era. It sucks to not have the indexes in general but it shouldn’t affect this any. I’ve looked at 10 seasons so far and have only found 1 streak above 2.

I remembered the pro team schedule page exists so that's a much faster way of searching through these, bonus. Also, it won't be in the final document but let it be known that in S32 both Helsinki's and Calgary's Backup goalies got 2 shutout streaks. They were the only streaks that season.

@Beaviss maybe on that one. I do find single player tricky because I have to focus on the narrative while also focusing on casting. CoD is good because it’s mindless more or less for me.

GoW is good where you can talk VHL during the killing, and just pause for the cut-scenes and talking gameplay. There's obviously a lot of mindless killing, and treasure hunting in there where you could easily talk about VHL, etc.

There's a lot of parts where they talk during gameplay too, but you could definitely just stop talking yourself, since you could make it like a Let's Play....and your VHL audience would probably like to know what happens too. Depends how you would do it, if you'd only do it for streaming purposes, there's like 30 hours of story. But if you also would play on your own and not record, then your viewers wouldn't get to know what happened.

I think it basically comes down to if Bana wants to create a defenseman GM player or forward....or just make a goalie to solidify that position and pick his favourite of you or Street. He does has 4th overall as well so a lot of team building from this draft. I think #3 is definitely Victor at this point.

You don’t have to, it’s not a set rule. Just that going less means fewer games played which means your stats tend to be a bit skewed. That, in turn, makes it less likely. I got in as a first ballot with a Beketov and I retired him after 6. It’s possible.

I think nowadays, when most are going the full 8, at least the ones with HOF credentials, it's near impossible to get in without at least 7 seasons, unless there was a 3+season dominance with multiple awards. Counting stats just dominate the discussion.

In the OG days, Pogge got in with like 4 seasons, and one of those seasons was basically inactive since I retired him pre-season, and Snelheid got in with 6. I don't think we'll be seeing many more 6-season HOF careers, and we definitely won't see another 4-season one.

What else would they be? Pie charts are pie charts and cameltoe graphs are cameltoe graphs. I never mix the two.
