Which VHL GM has/had the longest continuous dry spell without winning a cup (only counting seasons where they were GM)? Unless Malmo wins it all this season, he will be tied by Chris Miller @Advantage who is currently 16 seasons removed from his last cup with New York in S41 (having attempted to turn around the fortunes of the now-defunct Stockholm and Cologne since). Jason Glasser @diamond_ace is on 12 seasons, last winning with Calgary in S30, while we'll probably never see Lucas Tannahill again after he spent 13 seasons chasing a repeat of the S1 heroics with Vasteras. 2. Who was the first player to win the Labatte Trophy with a +/- below 0? (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @Enorama) It took until S15, when Alexander Sauve, traded from a rebuilding Calgary to a contending Toronto, put up a -10 rating for the season but voters weren't scared off as he was the clear best talent on the blue line with a whopping 101 points. Despite grabbing some cups when he came back to Calgary later, Sauve would be one of the longest-waiting HOF ballot members, getting inducted only in S34.
