1. In the spirit of the S74 theme week featuring dream teams with as few as 6 players, what is the lowest number of players on a Continental Cup-winning roster?

In peak pre-contraction VHL, the Quebec City Meute managed to win the cup with just 8 players, including the goalie. To be fair, 5 of them ended up in the Hall of Fame, another was the playoff MVP, another won the cup in all 3 seasons he played, and the last one was the GM player. So it was a pretty good team, but ridiculously small.

2. Which of these defencemen is not a part of the 500-point, 1000-PIM, 1000-Hit, 1000-SB club? (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @animal74)

Ignoring the PIM bit, these thresholds are something of a dream for VHL defencemen and in fact only 4 defencemen have ever hit all 4 marks - Hall of Famers Daniel Braxton, Japinder Singh and most recently Joseph McWolf and Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen. The correct answer is therefore James Lefevre, a fine defenceman in the 30s, but far from a HOFer.
